Julie-la, so sorry to hear of Rick's passing. Like him, and many now, I am still writing because of the space created and held by you for the stories to be told. This honored his life in the most real and practical way while he was here with us in "form". Thanks and peace. Rebecca

Thank you, Reb-la. His story and life live on in my heart. I do hope his story here and my sharing of it encourage us to keep writing our stories and poems. It is a lot harder to shut us down and rewrite history when we stay present with our words.

Hey Gene, This isn't my brother Rick, though he, too, was kind. He had the kindest and biggest heart of all three of my brothers. I miss him. This story is about a writer I mentored.

What a powerful memory of Rick. It sounds like you were a powerful person in his life and writing. Thank you for sharing. Too much appreciation comes AFTER a person has left us - may we remember to all our friends and teachers often while they are among us. Thank YOU, Julie!

I thought the same thing -- and took some time to reflect on who I can appreciate more and open up to more in my life who is among us.

Wow. Thank you for the kind words. You are correct, and it is good to remember, that my life is full. Working with you on your story is one of my riches, for sure! I also appreciate the gifts and pots in your life and how your music lifts us all (who listen).

OK, that makes more sense. Rick was a ladies man.
